Gossip- The Respectable Sin?

Many Christians today seem to think it is alright to engage in gossip or slandering others, it is not. To God, this is sin. It is malicious, it is evil, and the person who engages in such activity is to be perfectly truthful, a selfish person. Why selfish? Because only a selfish person would take pleasure in using their tongue to destroy others and tearing other people down. Gossip is the activity satan takes great delight in, because Christians think it is perfectly ok. He uses the gossipers tongue to slander or lie about others (through pride, jealousy or prejudice) and keeps the gossiper in bondage to sin. If you are one who engages in gossip, and you say you are a Christian, you need to repent of that sin, and get your heart right with God. The first thing you need to do though, is to humble yourself, because usually gossipers have a false sense of superiority and a spirit of pride. And God hates all pride, including yours. Pride is ugly.
